As I sat there eating my turkey and dressing
I began to think there might be something missing
Had I really thanked God for all of my blessings?
So I prayed.
I need to thank you God for all the people I have met
For they have touched my soul and I shall never forget
They have helped me through my days as I have worked, and played, and slept
And if I live forever they will be there with me yet
Thoughts of them sustain me even in my darkest hours
My memories of them are there to work there powers
For each person who touches my life and leaves
That is a brand new blessing I receive
So God forgive me for not thanking you before
And keep the blessings coming once more
