I'm Glad That I'm Not Purple Anymore

I'm glad that I'm not purple-
At least not anymore.
I might like green with a lovely sheen
Like the paint on our front door.

But I'm so glad that I'm not purple
For not every color goes
With that shade of purple
When one is buying clothes!

I fell into the grape vat
And smashed the grapes inside,
And when they rescued me
The grapes had stained my hide!

It took a long, long time
For the stain to wash away,
But now I'm glad I'm me again
Is all that I can say!
