I am looking for people that would like to share their story about God's impact

Hello everybody.

I have recently dedicated my life to God. I turned to him in the midst of a bout of deep depression, and he revealed himself to me in my hours of darkness. It came after a few days of praying. I met a stranger at the park while I was playing with my nephew at a birthday party for my niece. He began talking about God and invited me to his church the following day. Doing such a thing was completely out of character for me, but I went, because at that moment God was directly answering my prayers. When I attended the church service, the pastor spoke extensively about the crippling effects of depression. I now currently attend another church with my sister and her family every week. So although the other church didn't ultimately feel like the right fit for me, I heard the message that God intended me to hear that day!

So, after years of living by my own selfish ways, God has responded to my prayers with grace and love. I have been trying to figure out his purpose for me these past few weeks. I had a dream that I am to write a play based on actual experiences people have had concerning God's grace and second chances. His grace even led me to this website! I had no idea where to begin looking, so I thought I would post an ad on Craigslist. I decided to check out the "Writing" section first to see what kinds of ads were posted there, and at the VERY TOP of the screen was an ad with a link to this site! It was at the top even though it was almost 2 months old! So as I write this, I am more convinced than I was before that I am following the path God intends for me. So if anybody would like to share their personal stories of salvation with me, please feel free to contact me! I look forward to hearing from all of you!

Do you guys have any suggestions on the best way for me to approach this? I figured trying to gather stories would be a good starting point, but I don't have a ton of experience with script writing, particularly for a play.

I will definitely check out your testimony, Worshipfreely. I need all of the stories I can get. The challenge will be turning it all into a script (I'm thinking maybe an Easter play at this point, as it ties in perfectly with the concept of second chances).

Lora, I will try to find a Christmas poem that I wrote last year and share it with you. I have always been good with words, and even though I wrote it at a time when I was very much lost, those words ring true.

I went ahead and created a section for this topic in the "Christian Living" section. Perhaps I'll mention it in my next news letter.
As far as writing drama, I would suggest reading it...a lot. It will give you an idea of how it's done. I'm not familiar with any Christian drama, although there's a lot out there, I have read a lot of secular drama. Here's a few good ones:
