| You're finding life is humdrum You're finding church a bore The thrill you got from serving Him Is sadly there no more You're going through the motions The words you do not mean You might as well just disappear As though you'd never been.
Maybe you are holding back From giving all you've got To He who knows you inside out Who's loved you from year dot You're sitting on a flaky fence The splinters cause you pain When are you going to clamber back Upon His road again. |

| Good message but those who observe splinters should be aware as I have been made aware, sometimes have beams of their own. "You're sitting on a flaky fence The splinters cause you pain." some people, due to experiences and adversities develop an unnaturally high tolerance for pain. Doctor's have always made this observation of me and I suppose others' share in this as well. "When are you going to clamber back Upon His road again?" Another excellent question in this verse. For myself can't speak for anyone else or make generalizations never left the road. Answer:"when He tells me to." And by the way Life is awesomely...beautiful!
God Bless you, and keep you.
Love your stuff, You ask the right questions but please be aware that even before we're done asking, the Holy Spirit is already at work answering. No question goes unanswered...in His own time, if it be His Will an answer is given, if not...new questions...always moving forward.
For every answered question a thousand more unfold, seems the more we learn...the less we know.
Peace. |

| You raise an important aspect of Christian life. I love the message and your writing. I've seen many waver and fall when the humdrum of life set in after the initial elation of getting saved. We do need to learn to serve our Lord through thick and thin and not with our emotions. Yes, it's a blessing when He makes his presence known to us, but will we stick with Him even if we can't feel Him? |

| An even more interesting question I've been asking myself of late...can we really get a good read or feel for other's through their writing? I know that when I speak my writing it has a different feel and effect than when it is just read, though rarely do I engage in doing so nowadays. For instance when I read Joyce meyer's "battlefield of the mind" I could hear her, could know where to pause and reflect and when she was passionate but it was not necessarily written that way. This is a very thought provoking piece and it was my pleasure and a blessing that you shared this and an honor to comment on it.
God Bless. |

| Interesting thoughts oneagleswings. I've heard it said about visual art that after the artist has finished drawing, painting, etc., the art no longer belongs to him. After it leaves the artist's hands it lives its life in the eyes of it's beholders, to be interpreted they way they wish to interpret it and to touch them the way it would touch them. It would be impossible to know a person deeply through their art, but I think you can get a glimpse of them through each piece. |

| Obviously this has hit a nerve with me, can't deny that. I've been struggling with some issues... Struggling is better than ignoring. Been given so much, I know much is expected and He sends people my way all the time. I feel like I'm in training, but at the same time feel embattled. I especially like this piece because it's thought provoking. Suffering from "Jonah" syndrome...I guess...I think? I know there's something I'm supposed to do, should be doing but don't feel ready yet...still healing. Want to board a ship and sail in the opposite direction sometimes but I know better now. Treading water is a step above drowning and at least you can breathe, need to swim but when there is no land in sight, which way to go? Sorry for turning this into a discussion board. I would love to be able to sit and have a cup of 'Kaw-fee' with you and be "fraught with profundity" together for a few. God Bless, Anthony. |

| Don't worry about turning it into a discussion board. That's exactly what all of this is for. Our writing should raise questions, give new insight, help others to grow, bless others, etc. It just goes to show that Versical's poem is a good one. He hit the nail on the head, so to speak. Great job Versical!
By the way, what I wouldn't give to be able to have "Kawfee' with you and talk about everything under the sun. Sorry for being so full of cliches today. I guess I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, lol. |
