Winter Ruts
There is something special to me About driving down a country road In those winter ruts of mud and snow. There is no need fo a sign to say “slow”.
I remember driving down the road toward home After it had snowed so hard And driving in those deep car ruts Helped to guide me back to my yard.
After rainstorms you had to be careful Because those same ruts could trap you And they would keep you still As mud oozed up around your wheel.
I know that it may seem silly To find them comforting at all But they remind me a simpler time When you drove in the ruts or not at all! Thena

Love it. More of the small things in life that we all treasure. I remember when kids played outside, drank from the garden hose in summer time, and when we did bad in school it was our fault and not the teacher's.
