| The Memories Sometimes Bring Tears
I love looking at the old buildings As we discover them each day As we drive through the countryside Photographing things along the way. I find enjoyment in the pursuit Of special things that I might see And love to ponder in my mind How things used to be. But always in my heart No matter how hard I try Is a bit of sadness That I can't deny. It comes from the fact That once not long ago In these places lived families Who for some reason had to go. They had to leave these houses- The homes both large and small Leaving them to stand neglected Eventually to crumble and fall. I pray they went on to happy times And homes much better by far Than these lonely buildings Which I photograph from my car. Thena |

| A good reminder of how we should pray for those who may be suffering in this economy and losing the homes they worked so hard for. May the Lord heal this country and in the process bring all the hurting people to Him in their time of need.

| I paid three dollars for a slice of pizza today that was just so-so. My older model cell phone battery died and that cost forty dollars. Things are tough but don't they make it tougher? GREED! God Bless. |

| It's just businesses trying to pay all the taxes, fees, penalties, etc. that the government imposes on them. Otherwise, we'd have more jobs out there. |

| Heard you I did ! Owned my own small trucking business, lost it when the economy collapsed. Learned a lot from the experience though and will try again...just biding my time now.

| Well, that was great. Old buildings always intrigue me too. I have been on both ends of the spetrum from well off to destitute, from employed at a good job to on the street penniless, from owning my own business to not owning anything, but I will tell you I make it a point to learn from every experience and the most important thing I learned from living is that what you see or think, may not be the way it really is and my opinion is just that "mine". Soon as I get off my soap box, I think I will try to write something to post. |

| I have a couple of friends who are great photographers and I wrote some of the old house poems for photos in their books and was inspired by the photos.
Also we went back home to Ky a few years ago and was saddened to see some of the buildings loved so much in my childhood. |
