It was either them or me, and I was tired of dyin'

I dropped down, arms raised, and out loud started cryin'

"My Lord, my God, won't you answer my plea?!"

"Destroy these screamin' demons that reside in me..."

I felt a newfound strength that came up from within

and deep inside my heart Christ waged a war against sin

The soldiers of the black launched a brutal attack

but I was precious to the Lord and he wanted me back

In a show of force and might he countered dark with the light

and I could hear the sun spinning in the middle of the night

When the battle finally ended and the smoke started to clear

the love and the light defeated the darkness and fear

A battle fought by One just to set one free

A war waged over one, and that one was me

An army of One was willing to fight for one goal;

one heart, one mind, one body, one soul

Justifiable homicide, the demons had to die

and if that makes me an outlaw...hear the outlaw testify

Wow. That is a powerful message and said with so much feeling. I could almost picture the battle in my mind. Enjoyed it very much.

You sure do know how to get the blood pumping! I love your battle cry. Makes one want to come out swingin'! My favorite lines:
