A Friend is Someone Who....

A friend is someone who looks you in the eyes
When you accomplish your dream or goal
And just says "I'm not at all surprised!"

A friend is someone who takes you by your hand
When you are too weak to stand
But when you are able to stand once more
They don't remind you what you needed them for.

A friend is a friend no matter who, what or where
Someone who is always ready and willing to share
I can look in your eyes and know that it is true
For I see that kind of friend in you.

I think I'm going to send those to my best friend. She'll fall apart, I'm sure. She's so special to me, because she was a gift from God. I hadn't had a real, true, Christian friend in years, and I was feeling very lonely for one, too. Due to my son's autism, we tended to avoid getting too close to others. I remember praying that the Lord would send me a Christian friend that I could trust. Then, shortly after that, my secretary said she got another job and was leaving the company. It turned out, that the secretary that we hired right after that, was to become my very best Christian friend.
