Are you Listening?

Sometimes it gets so noisy
That it is hard to hear
Even though the speaker
Is not far away, but near.

Sometimes we are so busy
Talking as fast as we can
That when even God tries to speak
We do not understand.

We ask God in prayer
For a solution to our pain
But we keep on talking
Thinking we must explain.

I truly believe God hears us
And to trust Him is our choice,
But we have to stop our talking
And listen for his voice.

I love this one. It is so true, and the Lord even knew we would struggle with this one. In his Word he says: “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10)
