Discernment

I prayed for discernment
But when it came
Although I had asked for it
In Jesus' Name
I was fearful to speak out
And let myself be full of doubt
Hesitant to be thought "judgemental"
As those against us are prone to say
About those who believe,
When we don't see things their way.
I was perplexed and sad when later on
I saw that God had answered my prayer
And the truth I asked for had been there.

That is a tough one. "Ask, and ye shall receive," the Bible says, but sometimes we don't always like the answer.
