The War

The past is like a ticking time bomb waiting to boom
Life’s rollercoaster never takes a snooze
Skeletons in the closet tries to haunt us
No longer will we lie down and wait
Its time to lock and load.
Onward down this road of hate
Smashing through all blockades
The fight is dirty
The fight is hard
Blackened hearts blot out the sun.
Heavens mercy no where to be found
Lost and confused the fight leads on
Soul is suffocating from drowning in sorrow

Mud and blood
Sand and sweat
Heavens grace takes but a breath
Lay your weapons down
Quiet don’t make a sound
Open you heart to the light

Have no fear its only Jesus Christ
The savior of all that is right
Blessings unfold darkness revels the light
Heed this time with Jesus Christ
Rest your head do not fret
The father will protect

Take a knee and shout with glee
Sing praise of joy unto thee
Give your suffering to the king
May he ease all your pain
And Bring glory to his name

In His name we will be cured
In His name we will be blessed
In His name we will be made
In His name we will be saved
For he is king of all kings
For he is Christ, our savior and lord

This poem sounds musical. I like the fighting Christian spirit you put into it. It kind has an end-of-days feel to it, too. Another great work cm3pk!

I hear the music behind this as well. It is like Psalm or Davidical lament of the soul. G-d Blee, keep 'em coming!

Interesting fact you pointed out. not to sound weird but i don't put much thought into my writing. i kind of just let it flow from the heart! but now that you have pointed it out i guess i can compare it to my trials in life. in the end the lord prevails. even as i write this, it is always a refreshing thought. thanks for the feedback.

Hi! i can certainly see where you would feel the end of days thing. unfortunately in my own opinion every day i age feels as if the world is in an uncontrolled spiral to the end of days. society as a whole continually expands its "acceptance" of things that are not or even near healthy or appropriate.
