Immersion...diversion...submersion...conversion



Immersion of child, to keep safe and secure

innocent, perfect, beautiful and pure

Born free of guilt, free of pride and free of sin

Be free, lovely child, until the world creeps in

Diversion of perversion, the world's a scary place

and just before you know it, a child's gone without a trace

Nowhere to run, young one, and nowhere to hide

Nothing but a memory of who you were inside

Submersion of self, into Christ's forgiving love

Wash my pain with the rain, the living water from above

Drowning in God's grace, while breathing in his every word

The song of my salvation is the greatest song I've heard

Conversion of man back to a child at heart

Yesterday has gone away, each today a brand new start

Though I can't see the future, my past has me aware

I'll no longer fear tomorrow for my Lord's already there
