My name is Justin Hanvey, a sorta writer who is working on a magical realism novel reminiscent of Miyazaki movies, and old poems like Goethe's The Elf King and Yeat's The Stolen Child.

I know a few writers, but this is the first real writers network I've joined. Should be fun.

Oh I love the classics, it's kinda a new thing unfortunately. I never really read them in high school, so I'm like a little child rediscovering the meaning of christmas. I got a lot to go, but the cool thing is it inspires so many story ideas.

Absolutely! I hate to say it, but I get so much more out them, creatively speaking, than I do contemporary work. They will enrich your vocabulary, bring you into times and ideas that no longer exist, and you will discover things from history that you won't find in your history books. Happy reading!
