. There’s such Relief in Belief

I see the market crumble
And the mountains shake
I see the earth around me tremble
And see the resulting quake.

I have seen storm clouds gather
And fires out of control for days
As the bravest firefighters
Tirelessly fight the blaze.

I see hurricanes and tsunamis
As I watch the cable news
I hear various lawless leaders
Speak their merciless views.

I see countries collapse and fall
With leaders ousted in a day
And watch as our own country
Lets various freedoms slip away.

When that feeling of uncertainty
Tries to well up inside my soul
I am called back to the one who created me
And know that He is in control.

I do not understand it all
Why some things are to be
And must wait until I see Him
As I stand in eternity.

My faith is in the Father
And the Son He sent to save us
For in His Holy Bible
He says that He forgave us.

All we need to do is turn to Him
Accept Him and in faith believe
And all of His wonderful promises
We are welcome to receive.
