If I could build a factory
To build just what we need
It would take a lot of planning
And money to succeed.
If I could design an airplane
To sail through the sky
So much I would have to learn
About just what makes them fly.
If I could build a big strong bridge
To make travel safer from place to place
I'd want to design a structure
Full of safety, beauty and grace.
Alas, I am no inventor
No scientific knowledge do I claim
Never will I be honored by the masses
Or be crowned with worldly fame.
No factories, airplanes, or bridges
Will I leave behind me when I'm gone
Maybe someone somewhere might remember
My little verse or song.
But most importantly I pray that lives
Might have been touched a time or two
By the many loving prayers
That I have sent Heavenward for you.
