| Got out of bed, scratched a little at my beard Into the kitchen for a a cup of joe, found my easy chair Turned on the tube to start the day, nothing really to see Planned on makin it a lazy day, after all it belonged to me
What I saw on the screen suddenly caught my eye Made me to sit up straight and ask myself why Doesn't somebody do something about all that mess Of war and of famine and all of the rest
Then God spoke to my heart he took me to my knees When He reminded my spirit of One at Calvery He told me that this was the result of mankind Whose heart had gone cold, and this was the sign
Of a time that was fast coming to an end And all that I saw He would suspend That is chances that I miss to do do His work today I am responsible for and oh by the way
What I don't do He has prepared Someone that is willing who won't mind to share That which they have how little it may be So one may be helped, and that you will see
Is the Gospel in action, I MUST do my part To share the good news, He has placed in my heart My days are never idle, for Him I must quest To find one that is in need, and in Him, there is my rest. |

| Especially loved the last stanza:
Is the Gospel in action, I MUST do my part To share the good news, He has placed in my heart My days are never idle, for Him I must quest To find one that is in need, and in Him, there is my rest. |

| Or, better yet, put it in a slam. Just sayin'. But, it's not for everyone. I think it's beautiful just the way it stands too. |
