This Heart is Occupied

My heart is occupied and filled to the brim-
There is no more room inside me.
There’s only space for The Holy Spirit
And He dwells in me to guide me.

God sent Him to me
When I accepted Jesus long ago.
I know God loved me enough to send me His Son
For the Bible tells me so.

My heart has a Holy tenant
Who abides with and dwells in me.
Freely given was my heart to the one
Who opens blinded eyes that they may see.

My heart is inhabited;
A loving God has sent Him to bless and heal.
The occupier of my heart and spirit
Reminds me each day God’s love is real.

This heart is occupied, freely given in love
To the one who created me.
This heart is occupied today
And will be throughout eternity.
