YOU GAZE

You gaze upon anothers walk
Wishing you could emulate
Everything they're seen to do
Wow, amazing, they're so great
Must be something that they eat
Tuned in closely to their Lord
I will never be like them
Have to try and get on board.

Give up now and be yourself
Unique creation, please be real
Follow Him just like a sheep
Then your gifts He will reveal
You were made to touch the hearts
Of those who watch your every move
Keep your blinkered eyes on Him
There is nothing left to prove.

"Blinking"
serves manifold purposes,
tears are in many ways, cleansing on many levels.
We squint looking directly at the sun.
we blink at the flash of a camera or when something gets in our eyes.
Sometimes flinch, cower, before a surge forward.
Oncoming high-beam headlights are blinding in pitch black night, still somehow despite it all we reach out destinations safely, accomplish objectives, after late evening soirees.
The surf withdraws pulling at one's ankle's mightily like two hands before forming a powerful unstoppable wave and returning.
There is great strength in weakness, just a matter of discerning between what Truly matters and what is Truly minutia, that takes time and training.
Same ol' struggle, embracing Him or our own nature, it's only human.
Another very thought provoking piece, as of now there are currently twelve views...more than half of them are from me.
That's how much i've pondered these thoughts and what they provoke in me...the reader.
