o' Miss Thena in trucking a "full grown" is a state trooper and a local yokel is sheriff, county mounty, local authority etc. truckers share bear reports over the c.b. to look out for each other and try to avoid "traps" and "snares."

I used to have a CB radio when I had a green Squareback VW and my handle was "Green Lemon" . LOL

I had forgotten all the lingo. This made me smile.

My camera isn't for speeders though...LOL

truckers are a favorite target of bears...as professional drivers we are held to a higher standard and are under the gun so to speak. we are a great source of revenues for enforcement agencies. nevermind the thousands spent in permits and highway usage taxes higher tolls etc. fuel costs ,the avg. semi gets 4.0 mpg.-to a possible 7.0 mpg. depending on whether empty or loaded. sometimes after pulling heavy freight there is very little left over for an independant trucker. one flat tire can run from 350.00 to 500.00 new and about half of that used. an oil change is at least over 200.00 much more if an air-cleaner is also changed. it's a tough way to make a buck nowadays, i feel sorry for the newbies learning the trade and being taken advantage of due to naivete' from lack of experience, they will pay a lot of unnecessary oppressive dues before they ever make it, if they do.

My prayers are with both the truckers on this site. May they travel safely to their daily destinations, write many verses and lyrics on the crumpled up papers on their dash boards and floor boards, and continue to bless each of us on this site with their love for the Lord.

Hey ya'll gonna make ME tear up. Course that ain't hard since I got my new heart from the Lord. When I prayed for a makeover, it was EXTREME. Me and my bride of 24 years share all the chick flicks now. Love em. (she likes action too) I'm a route driver now, but she wants me to go OTR (over the road) so we can ramp up the evangelism again.
