Long ago in times gone by
A child was born just like I
But he was special and people came
To worship him just the same.
But he was born just to die
To save people like you and I
He gave us a chance to live
He had so much to give
He grew from a child into a man
That was part of God’s plan
He was perfect while He was here
But the price He paid was so dear.
When He died upon that cross
It was a really great loss
But we reaped the benefit
If we would only repent.
Three men died on that cross
Two were saved, but one was lost.
The third man lost his soul
Where it now burns in a deep hellhole.
One man went to paradise that day
Because he asked to be that way
The other man he rose to live again
And so now a whole other life began.
So now we have a choice to make
Just as long as we are not a fake
We can go to either Heaven or hell
But only God and time will tell. |
