Should Christians Keep The Sabbath?

The point of the seventh day was for rest and reflection. Not a mandate for a "holy" day. I believe it is meant to remind us to take time to remember God and His glory. Or is it just me?

No, I don't think it's just you. I agree with that. I just thought it was an interesting question to ask other Christians to get their take on it.

Some people take it too seriously and I don't believe that was God's intention but I am always open to challenging thoughts and ideas.

What is the Sabbath? Did God start workin on a Sunday or a Monday. I've worked all kinds of schedules and day/night patterns, and I have had to come to this conclusion for myself, that I will take and spend time with God, His Word and the believing brethern when I can to keep that time for Him, and worship Him for what He is and has done for me. I will do it at least one time a week somewhere with an assembly of believers, and a whole lot of just me and Him time. David, watching the sheep had the greatest opportunities for personal growth in the pasturland. Paul, John the Baptist, and all the prophets had great alone time. What is the Sabbath is my question. Good question Carl. The Sabbath was actually designated as a day of rest and not necessarily a day of worship. Worship was actually to take place every day. We now have Church on Sunday to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. There are those who also believe that there is a lot of symbolism connected with the Sabbath, and if I were to go into it, it would lead me into writing a dissertation, something I'm sure most will not have the patience to read.

Rest, reflection. and homemade ice cream. Three things necessary for a healthy spirit. Ok maybe not the icecream. But true, if my whole life is not an active worship for Him, I am so doing my salvation an injustice. Great topic. Blessings
