Ancient Lullaby

By the light of the sun, the eagle flies,
through the rays of warmth that weave across skies.
Kissing the seas, stroking the grounds;
A living melody, a sweet holy sound.

In the crystalline glacier, white ice breaks,
Crunching in water, in a splash recreates
Rolling forward in motion, slow but sure;
A frozen composition; a sacred overture.

Virgo the virgin, bearing in arm,
A tuft of wheat and a crown for her Son,
Royal nebulae clothed in stellar apparel;
A perfect psalm; a heavenly carol.

The double stranded helix- our life in a gene,
Our mind a pound of flesh where dwell our goals and dreams.
Uncountable hairs, nerves limb to limb,
A love-crafted canticle; a personal hymn.

From age to age, an intelligent design,
By a God who exceeds far beyond time.
From the roar of a wave to a lion’s cry;
An eternal anthem. An ancient lullaby.
