Hello everyone!

My name is Jovontae Dukes and I am currently a student at North Carolina Agriculture & Technical State University.

Also, I am a christian! Christ saved me the semester of my freshman year and I've been walking with Him since. I've also been writing poetry probably since 5th grade, wrote some through high school, but I didn't get serious about it until God saved me. I also got into spoken word performance, changing the dynamic of my writing. Also, I love hip-hop, so there are elements of it in my writing.

I used to strictly write what I call "God stuff" but now all is open season to me, in accordance to the spirit's leading of course :)

So I'll be posting a few pieces as I feel inclined and checking out some of my fellow bros and sisters stuff too, looking forward to being inspired by y'all!
