| Stooped down, mery enshrouding His human heart, He writes eternity with His index finger outstretched. The woman, on her grazed knees with tears streaming- tears cascading down her face like the Nile River, catches the Omniscient's eye. The Nile of unresolved emotion- of shame, of failure is the path that He follows. "I AM who I AM!" He roars from the ignition- benign yet all-consuming. The scene fades. In purified hands, a golden bowl shines deifically in the sun's unwavering light. There was the holy inscription, engraved by God's own hand. The scene fades. A wall, a celestial hand, enchanting script, a perplexed king. Like the unending locomotion of the Nile's crystalline waters, He quickly returned to the present. He glanced at the writing before Him. As in Moses' era, and in Daniel's, God had declared Himself sovereign once again. He stands up, holding the woman's bruised shoulders- her abused soul was now resting in His hands. Stones, meant for her desmise, fall to the dust like heavy rain, leaving the pharisees' hands as they fearfully flee. "Emmanuel!" They cry, composure collapsed. The woman looks at His face, then at the writing, then at Jesus' dirty hands. He wipes away a tear from her cheek. "Go Child and sin no more," he gently speaks. Today, despite wind-caught dust and the destruction of human err, that concrete, the words surpassing evanescent dust still reads, "I AM." |
