The struggle to let sin go Empty
PostSubject: The struggle to let sin go   The struggle to let sin go EmptyTue Aug 30, 2011 3:35 pm

Deception flows so deep inside,
Confusion rising like high tide,
Till all comforts pass away,
And every hope has gone astray.

I hide the problem out the door,
And hope to find something more.
I know the problem is still here,
And from my face now falls a tear.

God sends a sign loud and clear,
Yet I don't really want to hear.
Oh His words are completely true,
The problem lies within me, not you.

I'm left with thoughts of who to be,
And next thing I'm on bended knee,
Praying the Lord my God,
How can I be such a fraud?

Please hear my call and change my life,
Destroy my pride and all this strife.
Please come and fill my heart with You,
Place in my mind wisdom too.

Without you my worth is nothing,
But with you my whole life means something.
My heart and all I give to thee,
For now and all eternity.
And to my children I shall tell,
Our sovereign God makes all things well.

Very beautiful, intimate, and raw. I love your work.

I liked the way you rhymed so smoothly in this piece, I'm personally not one for rhyming poetry but the way you fitted it in this piece was really good.
Totally love the flow and message, lovely job. Big Smile

"I'm left with thoughts of who to be,
And next thing I'm on bended knee,
Praying the Lord my God,
How can I be such a fraud?"

Powerful paragraph. For we all sin and come short of G-d's glory. We can't help but feel undeserving. Just be reminded of John 3:16. Love this piece!
