Started this writing lark as a fine way to avoid feeling guilty about not obeying the first commandment ... you know, the one about earning our bread with sweaty faces. Seems I'm among friends.

| Thanks Lora ... I used to write a fair amount on wildpoetryforum.com and got some useful input there. However I soon became anathema as the prevailing attitude at that site towards 'God' is atheist and I found myself becoming obsessed with trying to change that. What a relief to come across you guys. Having said that though, I have recently become all too aware of a complacent, 'holy huddle' mentality among religious Christians and a tendency to accuse those on the narrow road of Messianic Netzarim (those who've thrown out false doctrines like Replacement Theology, etc) of being Judaizers. A lot of what I write seeks to displace this ignorance. There are many religious (traditions of men) aspects to Christianity. They were put in place by papists like Constantine and his successors in order to render the religion more acceptable to adherents of the old sun-worship regime ... and never removed. This becomes evident if one examines stuff like exactly how and why the sabbath was changed from the 7th day to the 1st day of the week despite the 4th commandment ... and how what Paul wrote has been compromised in order to support falsity so that we end up with well meaning pastors claiming that what Paul wrote is more important that what Messiah taught ... 'I came not to replace Torah but to highlight it'.
Obviously, this is a huge subject and the debate has been going on for centuries ... but we are now living in a time where knowledge has expanded dramatically ... and not all of it is bad. Those flogging the dead horse of religiosity need to understand that Messiah came to do away with the need for religion. He came to introduce us to His truth ... that which He promised would set us free from the bondage of deception. The time has come to complete that which Luther tried to start but whose time had not yet come... the time when Father would pour out His Spirit on all mankind ... a time like right NOW.
Cool ... first time I've made introductory remarks. Let's see if I get avoided like the plague here as well... or turfed out of town like Jeremiah.

I have to admit, I didn't know what a Messianic Netzarim was and had to look it up. It seems the most important thing that exists between Christians and the Messianic Netzarim is our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, we are not far apart. As for some of the differences, I'm just a simple Christian, and I do not have a big desire to dispute the small stuff. To me it just distracts us from the things that are really important. In the end the most important thing to any of us rests with the death and resurrection of Jesus. I look forward to reading your work and sharing our common love for the Lord and for creative writing.

After the resurrection, Jesus is waiting on the sea shore for the fishermen. They had caught nothing, even though they had been out all the night long. They were told to go and try one more time and to put their net on the right side of the boat. Placement or position? They then brought up 153 fish (John 21:11) but the net held held them all and did not break. I understand that number to be the know nations at that time. Our job is pull them in with the Word and let the Lord do the rest of the work. I feel this site to be doing that work and it does my spirit good to be able to join with others of like mindedness of purpose to help those that want it, whatever the format may take. Blessings to all.

That's insightful, Hineimatov. I also do not think you need all the 'shiboleths' to cross CCW's Jordan! And I agree with Lora: all that matters is the death and ressurection of Jesus. Nice to be here!
