Along came this saying
Have no idea whence it came
But over the years surely
It's become a household phrase just the same

Imagine out in the pasture
One special night
Perhaps through a storm or other
A spectacular , miraculous sight

Why it's splendour of gold and silver
And it's heavenly halo
Along with animal angels sweet
Praising to God indeed
Thankful for this gift
That of which we drink and eat

Even away back when as it is now
No , I'm not referring to the Mighty Sow
Rather for the Blessed Holy Cow...
