My Grandmother's Bible
Never sat upon a shelf
It was a vital part
Of Grandmother, herself.
It was always on the table
By her rocking chair
And when she took time to rest
You would find her reading there.
So many things I learned
When I spent time with her
One of the most important
Was how precious was each prayer.
If I had a problem she would stop and pray
A trait I learned to follow
In my life each day.
My Mom learned this from her too
And her faith strengthened me
How wonderful to have the Word of God
In our Family tree!
