Alas I was lost but now I'm found
Thanks to my kindred friends
Of Barnyard notions that they are
Sometimes going off deep ends

They took me in as I am
And I explained to them
Only what they needed to know
Sit down awhile
I'll talk a mile
So

I was born in a zoo
Some distance far away
My poor ol Mama died birthing me
All didn't know what to do

My Papa not in sight
My siblings were in fright

I was adopted soon after
Into a loving home
Where I took a liking to the sacred sanctuary
Where I spiritually did roam

One day
I can't recall excactly when
I was immersed into some water
Upon my resufacing
Were hollerings of - " Amen"

From that day onwards
My life was meaningful
I have a purpose
Forward I shall go
And with it came
My new baptized name
Hallelujah The Hippo...
