Eternal Treasures

Eternal Treasures

I will not worry about having money
To leave to my friends
When I am called away
But will just do the best I can
To share with others every day.
 
I will not worry about earthy treasures
To divide among those who are dear
But will do what I can to share with them
Each day while I am here.
 
I may leave this earth when I have abundance
Or maybe leave it with nothing at all
At times of affluence or times of hardship
I may hear God's voice call
 
If I left possessions to my friends
Soon they would be worn out
And monetary gifts would soon be gone
While memories stored in loving hearts
      will linger on and on.
 
I want to live my live each day
Showing love to friends and family
Who mean so much to me
That will be treasured here on earth
       and for eternity.
