| actually i first heard this about two years ago and it made me very sad, but it also stuck with me. reminded me of past failures as a husband and a man, now i understand those failures better, i'd been afraid to remarry but i would be crazy not to marry jody! i didn't know what love was till i learned to love The Lord. So actually i was doomed to fail till i understood that, He took pity on me because i know i'd never would have 'gotten it' on my own. it took decades and many blunders, for this teaching to break through and begin to penetrate past "layers" of all the 'macho' crap that had been heaped upon me by observations, "stinking thinking", garbage in garbage out, during formitive years (negative-formative). i felt damaged, damaging and damned after two failed marriages. i was the first divorce amongst seven siblings, my parents were married fifty six years, so i felt a failure. Then i ran into Jody, i was still a piece of garbage inside when i met her, she didn't know it and i wasn't fully aware of what i'd accepted to be my 'norm'. it was revealed to me...painfully but Mercifully a powerful dose of reality, the reality unseen. Changed everything, Jody said to me years after we met:"i knew you were coming", i had walked into her place of work with a name tag on my uniform. i was her project and she was mine...we are very grateful to the Project Manager, thanks be to God! i had given up hope of ever being happy in a relationship, was more suicidal than anything else though i kept it hidden. i had a failed attempt years earlier but still continued fantasizing about it. i thought to be done with this world anyway possible, too much pain! i should not have survived the attempt, it was a very determined serious one, by Grace i did. i say "by Grace" now, but then i was angry at Him for not letting me go...how foolish was that? there is no such thing as being able to hide from The Lord! i kicked Him in the face and He turned the other cheek, He could have let me go to hell in a handbasket but instead He wrapped His arms around me everytime i wriggled free, He'd do it again and again till i 'stilled' inside. Till He stilled me by His Love.
Jody told me..."i heard your name whispered to me."

| jody is the first woman i've asked to marry...though i'd been married before i was just kind of caught up in the idea of it and sort of bullied into it (felt obligated) couldn't say 'no'. i had never proposed before jody, though i'd been proposed to many times...weird! |
