Hello!

Hello!
First of all, I turned 50 last July, and I am happy to be alive! The year I turned 40 I was diagnosed with breast cancer, so it changes your perspective about aging!

I have enjoyed writing poetry for a long time, and have also written a few children's stories for my own kids, who are now all adults. All of my writing however, has been almost entirely for my own enjoyment. I have written a few things that have been in newsletters and that sort of thing, but I have never have tried to publish anything. I am hoping I can learn some awesome skills to improve my writing from the members on this site, so I hope there are some that will be willing to put up with a real live green horn!

I love the Lord! Not perfectly, but truly. He is my savior and my friend, and the one I write most about.

I'm excited about getting started, and a little nervous too! It's sort of scary making yourself vulnerable, but here goes!

Welcome to Christian Creative Writers. I'm so glad you joined us. Green horns are my favorite, and there is nothing to fear here. There are a lot of loving people here. Feel free to ask for advice at any time, I just love helping out other Christian writers.

Lora is so right... there are a lot of wonderfully kind and amazing people here. Lora herself is VERY good at helping to find the things in your writing that might need a little tweaking.. I value her input immensely!
