A Morning Shared


A chance for Him
An early start
A coffee cup
A seat apart
A Bible verse
Some time to pray.
But God had other
Plans this day.
A lonely man
Had spied my Book
And checked me out
A second look.
He yearned to talk
Some doubts to share
Had I the goods
To help him there?
A talk ensued
I shared his pain
Life had been hard
Who was to blame?
But still he longed
To know the King
And lay before Him
Everything.
Some providence
Had brought us there
Eternal life
And hope to share
And Christ the focus
Of our chat
Now what could be
Better than that?
