"A Rose" Empty
PostSubject: "A Rose"   "A Rose" EmptySun Apr 29, 2012 1:08 am

The day it finally bloomed,
but lets go back,
you see it first started as a seed
but no ordinary seed for as the creator you planted it well,
this seed is special for it alone saves one from hell.
Open up a hole and then pack it in deep make sure it gets water and grows happily,
the day it spouts and gets baptized with a sprinkle of water over its well prepared head,
talking to it as you heard words make it grow big.
Fast forward as it opens just slightly,
spreading color on a world that stands so spitefully,
blessing each eye that walks by,
or the man who feels it for comfort because he cannot see with his eyes.
The rose is beautiful,
everything the creator imagined,
sprouting no thorns that would intend for malicious actions,
not tempted by the moon it only grows to the sun,
the true giver of light, the one it grows from,
finds peace on stormy days and solace with those around it,
separating itself for you to command it.
Untouchable by others and spreading love everywhere,
but you tell it not to worry for you'll always be there.
The caterpillars come, and the rose is taken away,
it cries out for your help as if you've forsaken it today,
but he pays the price for all those who believe,
and three days later he A ROSE, with only four holes in his leaves,
as he ascended above, he made sure all could see,
he was A ROSE and gave salvation to those who believed.

I'm with rhyma, love the metaphor. When I first started reading this and it spoke about the seed being planted by the creator, it reminded me of the verses in Matthew where he spoke of the mustard seed.

Matthew 13: 31-32

31 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though
it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest
of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in
its branches.”

Yeah I tried to have a good amount of Biblical references hidden in it. Like the baptism in matthew when God speaks to Jesus. and the seed =) thank for noticing
