Inner Peace

The cool gentle breeze brushes my face like the tender touch of a mother.
The heron glides onto the lake waiting patiently for its prey.
The earth is so still and quiet as it waits reverently for Your arrival to planet earth.
The birds are chirping happy songs.
A single fish disturbs the stillness of the water.
The day’s tasks are locked away and removed from my mind as I await Your visit Lord.

What will we talk about today?
Where will You guide my feet?
In my heart, I know how much You love me.
Your presence is so peaceful and serene.
Your Words lift me up.
When I am low, You surround me with Your love.

You restore peace to my soul.
You make the enemy flee.
I know I will see Your goodness Lord in the land of the living.
I know You will walk beside me holding my hand; but when I feel I cannot go on,
You carry me.
You are wonderful.
When I stop to hear Your voice, You restore an inner peace that passes all understanding.

I love this peace.
Thank you for restoring it.
I pray for everyone to have this peace.
This peace brings unity, love and renewal.
Joy and love is part of this peace.
Inner peace lets me know You are God!

Thank you for reading. I did not feel that I had posted it properly. I feel people do not know how to pray. I want to compile a book of prayers to help people reach out to God. This is just one of the many writings that I believe God wants me to complete.

Prayer is a very personal thing, but that does not mean we shouldn't share it. Sometimes just telling GOD what HE means to us is the best thing we can say. Some people are confused by prayer, I think a book of good examples would be very helpful and glorifying to the LORD.

I just love your pastoral poetry. The way you use God's creation to draw us nearer to Him is beautifully executed. Keep writing! May the Lord bless your work with that book so that is blesses many, many others.

I read this while the news was showing protestors and rioters, etc., and thought to myself that we are so blessed that God can give us this kind of peace in the midst of the storm (or riots or occupiers) a peace that says I belong to You, Father and I trust You to be with me and hear me when I pray.

I just got back from a short walk to my favorite little thinking place right on the bay and thought of your post as I watched the ships, etc.
