| I don’t want to go to school today
You can’t make me go
It might rain really hard
Or it might begin to snow!
I don’t want to go to school today
I don’t want to ride the bus
I don’t want to hear the noise
And the kids that fight and fuss.
I have been so good all year
And have been there most every day
But every single teacher
Needs the occasional holiday!

| Today I went to the gym
And worked out so awfully hard
If there were a movie made today
In it I would have starred
Today I went to the gym
And rode those bikes that stand still
If they need someone to teach bike riding
Then teach bike riding I will
Today I went to the gym
And lifted weights for such a long time
I was so proud until I read out aloud
That 3 lbs was on each of them!
Today I learned at the gym
That if I want to get in good with my trainers
They would prefer that I not refer
To those holder for convenience on machines
As handy cupcake containers! |

| I needed to be lifted up. We all need a break from the turmoil of life. There is no where you can go without seeing and hearing so many problems. I need to exercise and walk more your thoughts have inspired me to move the clothes off of the exercise bike and ride awhile.

| Miss Thena, Yes you deserve a break! I love your sense of humor. I know the feeling, I worked as a teacher-aide for eighteen years and as much as I loved them, there were days I did not want to get on the bus!  |
