Have you noticed? We kick, struggle, and fight to get the front seats in the stadium, cinemas, and banks yet opt for the back seats in church? Isn't it nothing to 'spin' it into the vending machine to get a lunch pack yet it feels like hell when asked to 'spin' it in the offering bag?

The value of a thing is determined by the agreement of two people.

| "But when you are invited, go and recline at the last place, so that when the one who has invited you comes, he may say to you, 'Friend, move up higher'; then you will have honor in the sight of all who are at the table with you." Luke 14:10
Sitting in back is evidence of humility, being beckoned to move forward an honor. "So the last shall be first, and the first last." Matthew 20:16

These days it isn't considered an honor to be seated in the front or the back of the church. Being in the back may, however, show that one is either too shy to sit up front or not that interested in the sermon.

In the Catholic church it is a courtesy to allow the elderly and physically impaired to sit up in front so as to enable the Priest to bring the Eucharist to Communicants. When i attend a church i have become accustomed by years of tradition to being ushered forward to fill any empty spaces by the Presider. But i am aware nowadays, that is not the practice everywhere. We live in a "me first" generation.

Oh I see. There's a difference. The difference is in our locality; what it is over there, aint what it is here. If it's 'me first' there, it probably 'me last' here! Still, I agree with you. Guess this issue is theological and not about humor - since no one's laughing but making a good sense out of it. Great! I should think next time. God bless!

I was going to say just that. I think this does belong in the Theological Discussion section, so I'm moving it there presently. Great discussion Ola! Many precious blessings to you. I admire your love for the Lord.

Boy, this kick started soething, huh? I can understand and respect the humor of it, yet fully aware of the gravity of where the church is letting itself be ushered to. If each person doesn't take accountability for their own actions, and how it may affect someone else, we are doing christianity a huge injustice. I like where this is going. BRING IT!!! Blesings

The church exists in the hearts and actions of christians not in some building. Always keep that in mind.

Agreed completely, Worshipfreely, yet we must keep in mind that it is the hearts and minds of so called 'leadership' that makes and breaks the local assembly of christians that gather there. Not everyone chooses to explore the depths of scripture, as i believe we try to do here, and thus dont understand the completeness of relationship with the Father. there are many " churches " that are misled because the leaders don't dare to study it through. Blessings

That's exactly while I follow HIM not some man. Any thing that is preached I research in the bible to make sure I am not being misled.
