A Day to Pray

There have been those days
When I stopped to pray
That all I knew to say
Was "I trust You."

There have been times
With family scattered
That we risked all that mattered
But said "We trust You."

Soldiers returned from WwII
WIth scrapnel wounds yes
With scars on body; limbs intact
Battered and bruised but they came back...

Family returned from Vietnam
And from Naval ships
That had been on foreign shore
And all the more
We said "We trust You."

Sometimes its hard to trust
For those daily things we seek
Can the Almighty of whom we speak
Care about us and our daily needs meet?


Let us offer up our prayer
To the One who will forever care
That we call on Him each day
As for our every need we pray

Because we trust Him.

How wonderful to trust a creator who sent His only son, the perfect sacrifice, into the world to die because He loved us so.

Amen! Something many of us struggle with is to put all of our trust in Him. It seems so simple to put our trust in an all powerful God, but when it comes down to it, how much trust do we really give to Him?

Let us offer up our prayer
To the One who will forever care
