Greeting all along with peace and blessings. My name is Steve or Steven I answer either. First I want to thank those who have commented on the poetry I have posted so far. Thank you again! You all have made me feel most welcomed here at Christian Creative Poetry.

I started writing poetry in 2005 as I way of channeling some of my emotional stress. I had found it was very easy to express myself and say things in which I had difficulty putting into words. It wasn't until over the last few years that I began to feel compelled to write more and specifically poetry of a spiritual nature. It didn't happen all at once for me. At first the poems were of a personal nature then the became somewhat political. I suppose in some ways they still can be to some. Though I had been feeling something change inside me and how a viewed and saw my life. God had been talking to me all my life but I had ignored him for most of it. Finally I guess he had had enough and put me in a situation where I had to listen.

Confused and frustrated I began this quest to seek understanding and knowledge about spirituality. During this journey I discovered some things about myself and the reason why I was lead to poetry. Not just to save my own soul but to enlighten others about God and the teachings of Jesus Christ as I have come to understand his teachings. Again this is a slow process but I endeavor to pay tribute and honor Christ in the poems that I write out of a desire to honor God and his law. This is how I seek repentance and forgiveness so that he may find mercy on me in this life. I pray that these poems do so and I feel it is my mission in this life and how I am suppose to spread the truth of God's glory.

That is why I call myself theptpbook, for I am a preacher, who happens to be a teacher and a poet. May my words always show his glory and I forever remain his humble servant.

Peace and blessings to you all.
