After watching the Colorado shooting on TV

Lord, bless those who are hurting
Those who have suffered loss today
Let them feel Your loving presence
Throughout this grief filled day.
Bless all your children everywhere
And unite us in one goal
To be the people You designed us to be

I pray that this day makes us all better and not bitter, that it makes us treasure our families even more and take more time to teach about God and instill our faith in our children. We need to speak to our children about God and speak to God about our children.

What a senseless tragedy. I've been praying for those who were affected and for those who are watching that they might seek our Lord as a result.

There are a lot of sad goodbyes today
A lot of tear filled eyes today
A lot of whispered "whys?" today
We all wish we could make right
The loss that happened that dark night
But even though it is our deepest desire
We cannot change the past
When those so loved breathed their last
At the hands of someone so ill
That his desire was to maim and kill.
What we can do is to treasure today
Hold those close whom we hold dear
Whisper loving words to each one
While we know they hear
And ask God above to bless us each one
And take us home to Him when life is done.

I believe intercession prayer is needed desperately. Elzie and I have a spirit led feeling of ominousness about this whole ordeal, beyond the obvious that is. It feels like a beginning. I pray i am wrong, but keep it in yer prayers.

I had a similar feeling. Beyond that fact that it was an evil act to begin with, it just felt different, somehow, from other things that have happened like this.
