"Joy"

Her name is Joy but as of late she doesnt seem so joyful
With each guy who sees her body as a toy she getting less hopeful
Her home life isnt a whole life because she lives in a closet
The closest thing to closure she has is the razor she keeps like a locket deep in her pocket...
the scars on her body are as numerous as the stars in the sky
shes alive but shes not living and she wishes she would die
with every nick of the skin her veins run slowly barren
It's a pressing matter when one's life depends on her accuracy with a blade
she bleeds her hope out her wrist where she hides her heart
as she fights a war that none would enlist
One last time she gives her veins a kiss with the razor as she lay on the floor bleeding
her life is fleeting and her vision begins receding
In still silent ringing she hears not a voice but a whisper...
"What are you doing here, I have so much on store for you, but you cant hear me because you've barricaded your hearts doors

With a wind that flowed with a current to her heart
She unlocked the door and let Him in
A fire from heaven fell on her cuts and scars
With a overwhelming presence her sadness became her name
