Darkness

The depths of darkness creep inside
As the light grows dim by your side
Its hard to know what to do
When the darkness changes hue

It goes from light to very dark
You can’t even see a little spark.
The darkness makes you want to weep
But even then, you still can’t sleep.

Now you can appreciate the light
Even when it wasn’t bright.
You wish now you had it back
Now its really getting black.

You are really getting weary now
Sitting and wondering how
To get the light to come back.
Maybe you have lost the knack.

Is it darkness in your soul
Maybe something the devil stole?
What do you do now that you know
That you are reaping the seeds you sow?

Can you turn your life around?
Or are you too far down?
Finally blissful sleep so deep
And still you find that you weep.

Ah, to wake and find it just a dream
And you see the light really beam
You know God is by your side
And to think you could have died.

Wow, that was very powerful and poignant."When the darkness changes hue." Without HIM the darkness just keeps getting deeper well said. All glory to the Father!
