Fraught with Profundity

Sometimes I wish
I were fraught with profundity
Like so many others
From my neighbors to my brothers
But alas I seem destined to be
Just me.
Yet I seem to do just fine
Writing in simplest terms each day
About my love of God
Line upon line upon line.

I have never heard the word profound conjugated that way. Thanks for giving me a new word. And I find your "old fashioned" and simple prose to be quite eloquent and insightful.

Jesus was simple and complex too! much like your writing. I relish it.

"fraught with profundity",
I cherish sitting on my back deck watching the birds that come to feed and sing their thank you songs. While sipping on a nice hot vanilla chai.
Just unfraughting and saying, thank you Lord over and over and over............and over.

unfraughting? As always you are so clever and make me laugh out loud! hard. Or is that ROTFL

wow I learn two words in one day. Maybe that's my problem, I need more unfraughting.

I get all excited when the hummingbirds come up to the feeder, I can't get over how they can just hover like that ! Sometimes it's birds, bunnies, squirrels, doves the neighbor's chickens...all at once. I grew up in nyc, I didn't notice these things, even the pigeons had bad attitudes...even if you stared at them too long it was almost like you could hear them saying"what are you looking at". Listen you can't "unfraught" unless you were "fraughted" to begin with. Simplicity is at the very least a tremendous blessing! Remember the sinner's prayer, "Christ Jesus Son of David have mercy on me a sinner", The Lord heard the sinner's prayer and not the pharisee's.
