| My Best Friend
I'm so blessed
How blessed can I be
My best friend
Spends all his time with me!
He's with me all day
And we are now retired
I do the easy tasks
He does the hard.
We were friends as teens
And were wed at twenty
I call him Huggy
And he calls me Hunney.
We don't have lots of money
But we don't need a lot
We do enjoy our time
And appreciate what we've got.
We have the bay on the left
And the ocean to the right
We have a safe community
Where we can walk at night.
We love God and country
And our family is our heart
We treasure them when we are together
And when we are far apart.
When our time here is over
And on this earthly plane
We no longer stand
I pray God takes us to Himself
Together, hand in hand.
