Jesus loves me for Senior Citizens
Jesus loves me! This I know,
Though my steps are getting slow
And my hair is thin on top
His love for me will never stop.
With graying locks on head and brow
Before His throne I humbly bow
Though I can barely bend my knee
He stills hears and answers me.
Jesus loves me still today,
No matter the many pounds I weigh
Though diet groups may turn me down
He doesn't judge me by the pound!
Sometimes I gripe and may complain
Far too loud of simplest pain
But He offers me His hand
Lifting me up when it's hard to stand.
Trivial things may get me down
Putting on my face a frown
But when I turn them over to Him
There is no more sting in them.
Looking back at the years I've had
Though at times I have been sad
So thankful I am day to day
That He was with me all the way.
Each night I say a little prayer
Thanking Jesus for his care
And His love for me Sublime
I share with every friend of mine.
Yes, Jesus Loves Me
I know Jesus Loves me
And someday He'll take me by the hand
And lead me to that Promised Land.
