When I Wish you a Merry Christmas

No matter what our age, we don't know
At what date our time on earth is through.
I don't worry about the schedule
It's up to God to determine the date
And with His timing I feel sure
That I will be neither early nor late.
I intend to celebrate this Holy season
By expressing the joy of Jesus in my spirit
Praying that it will be understood in my greeting
By every person that might hear it.
So when I wish you a Merry Christmas
Behind that simple phrase
Is a sincere prayer to the Father
That He would bless you all your days.
