Raindrops with Faces

Let go; liberated by the Cloud’s will,
Now I’m rolling, falling: so constant; chilled,
Determined, ready, the wind roaring loud,
Proclaiming, “I Love you and in you I am proud!”

Smiling, I look, my eyes growing misty…
Dammed by only a righteous anger.
The raindrops moulded clearly have somehow become murky,
They’re putting themselves in horrible danger.

My anger subsides and turns into pity,
As in the distance, shines the city.
These raindrops, like teardrops, have purpose in form.
Crafted by the cloud, in whom there’s no flaw.

Yet they cover themselves- raindrops hide behind masks,
Their smiles sewn by an expression so dark-
Of insecurity, fear, confusion and doubt,
Their hearts yearning for a way to get out.

I look below- there’s a thirsty pasture.
I know I’m needed forever after.
But these others, alone, so cold and self-neglected,
Don’t understand that their hope was resurrected
When the water of life, quenching judgment on their fault
Was evaporated to the throne where there can be no assault.
