I've been given a gift
I've been given a burden
I've been given a talent
With just one warning...
If you water anything down don't expect the outcome to be warming
Don't speak softly and beat around the bush that is burning
If you say it like it is it should bring about tears
Because passion is a fire that's been growing for years
I give you all my all and don't censor at all
When I slip up I document my fall
I know I'm not perfect
And neither are you
But I know at some point in time we all have to choose
"Will I be real with my audience
Or feed them a lie
Will I be honest and say 'everyday I give Christ a new reason to die'"
If you repent from your sin
And dust it under the carpet
It's a wasted experience
Someone can learn from your mistakes
Feed from your passion
Through this they will know that Christ is NOT just a fashion
I would apologize for my sometimes brutally honest pieces
But this generation isn't looking for "fluff" pieces
They're looking for answers and we know where to find them!
But often times behind the fake words and traditions we hide them
Be honest in your writing!
Stop holding back
Don't worry about your skill level or things that you 'lack'
It's about worshipping Christ
And gathering lost sheep
Not fellowshipping in a box with closet Christians less that once a week
I'm making a statement
Declaring it now
The water that poured from Christ's side was here for you to water His story and your life down
Be transparent to the world
Let them see transparency
Only then will they see
That Christ lives in you and me.
