| An autistic lad
orchestrates an aerial composition
pigeons flow gracefully like living water
across an unseen dancefloor
led by the tender commands
of upraised hands
The silent rejoicing in his heart
resounds in the ethers
he is Fred Astaire
they are all his winged Ginger Rogers
together they dance
he leads, they follow
tears of joy
gently rain down from above
Within boxed in steps
treasures accumulate on a rooftop
accompanied by a Heavenly Host
of symphonies, choirs'
harpsicords, lutes and lyres |
