Poetical prisoner II Empty

Hello...(hello)...(hello)...
Can anybody hear me...(hear me)...(hear me)...
Won't you come unlock this jacket...(jacket)...(jacket)...
There's no reason to fear me...(fear me)...(fear me)...

Come closer to the windows, take a peek inside
and if you look deep enough you'll see the pain I try and hide
I'm locked up in this mask hoping I might forget my face
because the memory of who I was I can't seem to erase
I wear a volatile smile behind shiny duct-tape
I swallowed the keys to the shackles hoping I never escape
I curl in the corner as the darkness falls
and bang my head again within these padded walls
Sedated, medicated, implicated in a crime
Detrimental mental health has me doing hard time
You see, my mind tells me I'm mad with a recurring condition
and so I stay locked away because I'm under suspicion
for not conforming to societal ways
Once we rain the pain we are the castaways
A schoolboy's giggle rings hollow in my ears
as the fears from the years of the tears bring the cheers
and build me up to the sadly-ever-after
I can't have manslaughter without man's laughter
"I see a red door and I want it painted black..."
and so I pray for the day that my heart comes back

Intense. When I see that you've posted something I always know I've got a treat coming, and this one is no exception.
